I decided at the very last minute to enter a fb competition in an attempt to win myself a beautiful pair of sandals. Little did I realise that the competition was as complicated as it was so I failed miserably in having some stylish summer footwear - I did however take a nice picture of the contents of my bag so I thought I would share it here.

hello! i know its been awhile but i've needed a little time and space to recover and gather my thoughts.

i just wanted to say thank you to all of you that came to my opening or came to visit me in my lovely little pop up shop at the beginning of may! In particular i'd like to thank:

the curtain making and catering extraordinaire that is my mum

sam for keeping me fed and on track with all of my lists, just generally making encouraging noises when I wasn't so sure and being my faithful assistant (you've passed with flying colours - lucky you!)

tim and dad for putting up with me and being so generous in letting me make a mess

robards - my website extraordinaire, as well as annie for playing shop for the day and just generally being such good besties!

last night we finally got to see 'i am love' - I have been waiting for this film to come out in Australia for months and it was worth the wait. This film is incredibly lush and I liked the way the house became a character in itself throughout the film.

last week we watched Turkish film Bal (Honey) as part of the Sydney Film Festival - it was beautiful and had such a lovely pace. I was battling a cold but for a few hours I forgot all about it. This trailer seems to have a few more scenes in it then the cut we saw but you'll see what I mean.

100 abandoned houses

For weeks i have been holding off for that perfect moment to return to blogging, i've decided that it doesn't exist. I didn't mean to leave it so long but things just sort of got in the way, and chances are they still will, but i'm ok with it if you are?

It turns out I have an impending and unexpected house move on my hands, and at this stage i've no clue where to, just that I have to and that I don't like the idea of it one bit! I'm sure i'll come around eventually.

In my wanderings around the interweb the other day i discovered these incredible megadoily rugs. My sister is visiting and we have decided to learn how to crochet, maybe one day i could make my own megadoily!

There are lots of project ideas going on in my head but my body keeps telling me to take it easy, so i am and its kind of lovely. But i'm looking forward to sinking my teeth into some of these just as soon as my body says that i'm allowed.

the last few weeks have been filled with frustration as I recover from a small accident involving my left index finger and something sharp. I won't go in to great detail (because it will make you squirm) but it has left me with the ability to do very little, not only that but all my deadlines have been pushed even further back and i have been forced to forget about releasing this collection until next year.

i just get cranky everytime i think about it, but think it may be the universe forcing me to slow down, and maybe it means when i do finally launch all those little things will have been refined... i was looking forward to sharing all the hard work but i guess you and i both will just have to wait. hmph!

my sister anna and I have had many a skype since I asked her to design me a new logo. This is something that is difficult to do when we aren't sitting in a cafe with a piece of paper and a pen but she still managed to create something that I really do love and reflects me. Not only that but she also managed to prepare a screen and print me a big pile of tags to help me get started whilst packing and preparing to move to another country. I'll show you a better image soon I promise, I just got a bit excited when this parcel arrived last week.

Things have got a little bit crazy for me in the last few months, and they will continue to be busy until christmas if all goes to plan. I will be releasing my new collection in the next few weeks (better late then never is what i keep telling myself) and I think when those look books can officially be sent out I will breathe a sigh of relief (before getting stuck in to fill orders and completing another semester of school - i think I may be mad).
